Golf course redevelopment approved in Ayr

Plans for a £5.4 million redevelopment of Belleisle Golf Course in Ayr have been approved by South Ayrshire Council after a lengthy debate among councillors. The approved “Option 3” proposal includes new GolfPod practice technology, upgraded clubhouse and catering facilities, golf simulators and changes to parts of the course. South Ayrshire councillors have approved a new long-term parking management framework following a debate over future parking pressures across the area. Ayrshire charities receive thousands in council donations

South Ayrshire Council has donated £8,500 each to Ayrshire Hospice and Ayrshire Baby Loss Support during a presentation at County Buildings in Ayr. The funding will help both organisations continue their work supporting families, patients and communities across Ayrshire and Arran. Ayrshire Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support services, while Ayrshire Baby Loss Support works with families affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal loss. Steam engines to visit Ayrshire

Three vintage steam traction engines are set to visit Ayrshire later this month as part of a 300-mile fundraising journey across Scotland and England.
