Growing calls for Prestwick to London route return

Calls are growing for the return of a direct flight between Prestwick Airport and London, following thousands of comments supporting the route’s reinstatement.

Travellers have highlighted business travel, weekend visits, family trips, football matches and onward connections as reasons for wanting the service back.

Prestwick Airport is appealing to airlines including Ryanair, easyJet, and British Airways to take notice of the level of public support.

The service was last operated by Ryanair in 2011.
