Residents across Stevenston, Saltcoats and Ardrossan are being urged to have their say on how a £20 million investment of regeneration funding should be spent over the next 10 years.

The Three Towns Neighbourhood Board, with support from North Ayrshire Council, has launched a survey asking people to identify the issues and priorities they believe should be addressed through the UK Government’s Pride in Place Programme.

The five-minute online poll asks residents to rate a range of issues, including streets and public spaces, local economy, and health and wellbeing, to help shape the area’s long-term regeneration plan.

The Three Towns Board has been appointed to oversee the decade-long programme, with views of local communities helping to determine how the £2o million investment is allocated.

A spokesperson from the Three Towns believes that the area’s priorities can be “shaped by the people”.

They said: “This five-minute survey is really important. Your answers combined with everyone else’s across the towns will be the starting point to prioritise what the £20 million is spent on.

“There have been plenty of positive changes in the Three Towns over the last few years, but we still face some persistent challenges that the £20 million plan could help tackle.”

Residents have until 27 September to complete the survey.

Drop-in information sessions will be held at Whitlees Community Centre in Ardrossan on 28 September and West Coast Crucible in Saltcoats on 8 October.

Locals will also have the opportunity to meet members of the Town Board at Hayocks Community Hall this Friday (25 September) and Ardrossan Civic Centre on 23 October.

The Town Board has been set a deadline in November to submit the finalised £20m plan to the UK Government.

Residents can access the survey here.
