North Ayrshire Council confirms £8.3m roads programme

North Ayrshire Council has approved a major £8.3 million investment into roads and infrastructure across the region. The programme will run over the next 12 months and includes resurfacing, lighting upgrades, and structural improvements.

A large portion of the funding—around £6.5 million—will go towards carriageway resurfacing, with significant work planned in Irvine, Kilwinning and Largs. Council officials say the investment is aimed at improving transport links and supporting the local economy.
