Historic Arran hotel set for Buzzworks deal

Buzzworks has announced plans to acquire the historic Douglas Hotel in Brodick, with the deal currently subject to completion.

The landmark hotel, which overlooks Brodick Bay and Goatfell, will continue operating throughout the summer before temporarily closing during autumn and winter for a major refurbishment.

It is expected to reopen in spring 2027 as part of the Buzzworks House Collection, offering refurbished accommodation along with a modern pub and restaurant while retaining the building’s historic character.
