Mossgiel sends 56k litres of milk down south
An Ayrshire farm has sent approximately 56,000 litres of Scottish organic milk to England and Wales to help with supply issues caused by drought conditions. Mossgiel Organic Dairy near Mauchline said demand from businesses south of the border had increased sharply, with three companies contacting founder Bryce Cunningham within around ten minutes to ask what milk could be supplied the following week. Mossgiel was also asked for a further 40,000 litres, but did not have enough available.
