One of the aircraft most closely associated with Air Force One and familiar to aviation enthusiasts at Glasgow Prestwick Airport could be nearing the end of its service.

Aircraft 29000, one of two modified Boeing VC-25A presidential aircraft used by the United States, last visited Prestwick in July 2025 during President Donald Trump’s visit to Turnberry.

The aircraft remained at the airport before returning the President to Washington following the trip.

Reports from White House staff suggest the aircraft may recently have completed its final presidential mission following the G7 talks in Paris.

It has been reported that the plane could eventually form part of President Trump’s presidential library after he leaves office in 2029.
