Fundraiser boosts Megan’s Space support

Ayr businesswoman Sherylann Thompson has raised more than £700 for charity as part of her involvement in the Miss Great Britain Ayrshire competition.

The 26-year-old photographer, who has run her own business since she was 17, says she wants to use the platform to raise awareness around mental health and violence against women.

Sherylann organised a 2000s-themed fundraiser at The Bell Rock in Prestwick on Friday, May 22 in support of Megan’s Space and South Ayrshire Women’s Aid.

The event raised £290 through a raffle and a further £480 from entry fees, bringing the total raised to £770.
