A new Ayr United Supporters’ Association has officially opened memberships as fans look to play a bigger role in the future of the club.

The AUSA says its aim is to improve communication between supporters and the Somerset Park board while helping develop ideas to improve the matchday experience.

Memberships are available from £5, with under-16 memberships costing £1.

The group says more than 1,000 responses were received during a recent fan survey, with improving the atmosphere at Somerset Park highlighted as a key priority.

Members will also receive priority access to a pre-season Q&A event with new manager Gary Naysmith and assistant Brown Ferguson.
