Election counts underway in Ayrshire

Counting is underway across Ayrshire as votes are tallied in the Scottish Parliament elections, with results expected throughout today.

Key venues include the Galleon Centre in Kilmarnock, Riverside Sports Arena in Ayr and the Portal in Irvine.

Declaration times have been outlined for several constituencies, with Ayr, Prestwick and Troon expected around 1pm, while Kilmarnock and Irvine Valley and Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley are due around 4pm.

The results will determine the region’s representation in Holyrood for the coming term.
