South Ayrshire residents are set to benefit from £50,000 of transport investment following funding approval from Strathclyde Partnership for Transport.

The money forms part of SPT’s Capital Programme covering 2026/27 to 2028/29 and has been allocated to support active travel projects across the area.

The funding is intended to improve accessibility, connectivity and sustainable transport options for local communities.

SPT Chair Councillor Stephen Dornan said the investment will help residents, businesses and communities benefit from improved transport links while supporting greener travel and reducing carbon emissions. Transport
