20mph limit plan for South Ayrshire towns
20mph speed limits could be introduced in Ayr, Prestwick and Troon as part of the next phase of South Ayrshire’s traffic restrictions. The three towns are being considered for the next rollout by the Ayrshire Roads Alliance, following the introduction of the measures in Girvan. Work is already underway to bring the restrictions to Coylton, Barr, Maybole and Pinmore, with those schemes expected to be completed early next year.
