Kilmarnock town centre plans open for public views

People are being asked for their views on plans to transform Kilmarnock town centre.

East Ayrshire Council has launched a six-week consultation on a new town centre masterplan.

The proposals aim to revitalise the area and have been developed following engagement with residents, businesses, community groups and other organisations.

The plan focuses on six key areas, including improving connectivity, tackling vacant buildings, and increasing town centre living.

The consultation opened yesterday and will run for six weeks, with residents encouraged to have their say on the future of Kilmarnock town centre.
