Ayrshire Footgolf have achieved further success in their competitive season, being crowned National Club League Champions for a fourth consecutive year.
The club overcame Fife-based opponents Drumoig in two legs across 31 October and 1 November, winning 252 -195 on aggregate to lift the title.
This latest triumph marks Ayrshire FGC’s seventh major trophy, adding to their West Division victory earlier this year.
In celebrating the weekend’s success, a spokesperson from Ayrshire Footgolf Club said: “A massive thank you to every player who has represented Ayrshire FGC and everyone who has supported us along the way.
“Every single person has played a part in making this club what it is today. After being crowned West Division Champions, we’ve gone one better, making it four national titles in a row, which is an incredible achievement for a club founded in 2021.”
The club also revealed that they have qualified for a place at the FIFG World Club Trophy for the second time in their history, with hopes of Ayrshire being seen at the world stage.
Ayrshire Footgolf Club was founded back in 2021, based at Caprington Golf Course in Kilmarnock, and has achieved five National Club League titles out of six, making them one of the nation’s powerhouses in the sport.
The other footgolf club to have won the NCL title outside of Ayrshire was Glasgow FGC back in 2022.
Ayrshire FGC compete against the likes of Cumbernauld and Glasgow in the West Division each year for the league crown.
