An Ayr restaurant has been recognised at a major national awards ceremony held in Glasgow. The Stravaig in Ayr picked up the Best Family Friendly Restaurant title at the Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards on Thursday, April 30. The venue also received a Highly Recommended mention in the Best Casual Dining category, highlighting its continued popularity with diners. North Ayrshire Council has approved a major investment in roads and infrastructure across the region. The £8.3 million programme will be delivered over the next 12 months. A significant portion of the funding will be spent on carriageway resurfacing, with major works planned in Irvine, as well as investment in areas including Stevenston and Kilbirnie. A man has admitted a public indecency offence following an incident that took place in Ayr on Hallowe’en. The case was heard at Ayr Sheriff Court. Craig Provan pleaded guilty after being observed engaging in inappropriate behaviour involving a bin and consuming cardboard during the incident on October 31 last year. The case was described as involving unusual conduct.
A Stewarton dance school is preparing for an exciting new chapter after securing its own dedicated premises. Dynamite Dance Studios has confirmed it will open a new studio space on New Street in Riccarton.
