North Ayrshire parents benefit from childcare initiative

Ten parents across North Ayrshire are already benefiting from a new Scottish Government childcare initiative designed to help families overcome barriers to employment, education and training.

The Scottish Childcare Fund is a £15 million, single-year initiative delivered locally by The Lennox Partnership.

Eligible parents can access up to 20 hours of fully funded childcare per week for a period of up to 12 weeks, helping to reduce financial pressure while taking steps towards employment or education opportunities.

The support has already helped parents return to work following maternity leave, increase their working hours and continue university studies.
