Ayr Racecourse proposes facilities makeover

Ayr Racecourse has submitted plans to South Ayrshire Council seeking permission to alter and extend its jockeys’ weighing room and facilities.

The proposals include internal alterations and a new single-storey extension.

Plans include storage areas, separate male and female changing facilities, showers and toilets, a disabled and visitor toilet, and separate changing areas for under-18 males and females.

The proposals are designed to meet current requirements and recommendations from the British Horseracing Authority.
