East Ayrshire school funding reshuffled

Millions of pounds earmarked for school improvement projects across East Ayrshire are being redirected to focus on the council’s priorities over the next five years.

Funding for Onthank and Mount Carmel primaries and Loudoun Academy is being reduced, while extra money is being allocated to Lainshaw and Ochiltree primaries and the extension of Stewarton Academy.

East Ayrshire Council says the overall investment pot remains unchanged at £57.725 million pounds, with funding being moved towards projects requiring additional investment.
