Troon has been named the best place to live by the sea in the UK, according to The Times.
The South Ayrshire town, known for its beaches and popularity with summer visitors, topped a list of coastal locations to move to while keeping the holiday feeling all year.
The Times’ list also included Aberaeron in Wales, Ballycastle in Northern Ireland, Saltburn-by-the-Sea in North Yorkshire and Anglesey in the top five.
