Stagecoach honour Clarke on No 11 route

Stagecoach has renamed its Number 11 bus service “Steve Clarke’s 11” in recognition of Scotland manager Steve Clarke and the national team’s qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

The service has a strong connection to Clarke’s Ayrshire roots.

The route begins at Kilmarnock Bus Station, close to Rugby Park where he enjoyed success as Kilmarnock manager, before travelling through his hometown of Saltcoats and finishing in Ardrossan.

Stagecoach South Scotland says the tribute celebrates one of Ayrshire’s most successful sporting figures getting the nation’s football team to their first World Cup finals since 1998.
