Crosshouse Hospital casualties after A78 Irvine crash Tuesday

Emergency services were called to a multi-vehicle crash on the A78 between Irvine and Stevenston at around 5.30pm on Tuesday, April 21. The collision caused significant disruption, with traffic diverted and long tailbacks reported in the area.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that three appliances and a specialist unit attended the scene near the Eglinton Interchange and Pennyburn Roundabout. Several police and ambulance crews were also present, and casualties were taken to Crosshouse Hospital. The road later reopened after the incident was dealt with.
