Prestwick Airport set for RAF Voyager fleet arrival
Plans remain on track for Prestwick Airport to host the RAF’s Voyager A330 refuelling fleet this summer. The move is part of arrangements while resurfacing work is carried out at RAF Brize Norton in England. The Ministry of Defence awarded a £1.2 million contract as part of Project MACE, with Prestwick selected as the only UK airport capable of accommodating the fleet. Preparatory upgrades have been ongoing at the airport, including infrastructure improvements ahead of the aircraft’s arrival.
