Licensed premises across South Ayrshire have been warned that their licences could be suspended if annual fees remain unpaid.

The South Ayrshire Licensing Board was told that the annual premises licence fees were due by October 1.

Licensing Standards Officer Catrina Andrew confirmed that reminder notices had been sent to licence holders and operators who had not yet paid.

Any premises with outstanding fees at the end of October will be issued with a compliance notice.

If businesses then fail to comply, a report will be brought to the December licensing board meeting seeking suspension of their licences.
