NHS ambulance delays hit 16 Years

New figures have revealed that ambulances serving NHS Ayrshire & Arran spent a combined 144,873 hours waiting to unload patients at hospitals between 2022 and 2025. The data, released following a freedom of information request, equates to around 16-and-a-half years of ambulance turnaround time. South Ayrshire funding boost secured

South Ayrshire Council has secured £163,101 from the Scottish Government’s Coastal Communities Fund for 2025/26, with ministers also confirming long-term funding support through to 2032/33.
